We have been retained by our client, in their search for an intermediate to senior level Auto CAD Designer. This is a full time contract opportunity with strong possibilities to go permanent. Located in Albany, NY. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Our client provides professional design and consulting services in the planning, engineering, architecture, surveying, economic and project management fields to their clientele.
Ideal candidate will be a self starter with a high sense of urgency. This is a team oriented environment with a great company and opportunity for growth
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of AutoCAD design experience and be proficient in MS Word and Excel. MEP, HVAC, process piping design, fire restoration design, proficient knowledge and use of 3-D software design is a must. Recent experience (minimum of 3-5 years) within a pharmaceutical/bio-pharmacuetical is also required.
A mechanical or electrical background is preferred, but not required. (A bachelor's degree is not required.)
This position will report directly to our client's Project Managers. Duties include but are not limited to: design piping systems and HVAC ductwork with guidance from Lead Piping Designers and Mechanical Engineers running these projects, CAD drawing of 2-D & 3-D Process and Instrument Diagrams and electrical schematics. Additionally, AutoCAD based 3-D Bentley drawing package will be used, (training will be provided). Some travel to site locations may be required.
